This 4,544-square-foot house was built in 1894 for Kirk Hall who held the Dallas Singer Sewing Machine franchise for North Texas. It has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a third-floor attic converted to guest quarters, thick plaster walls, pocket doors, and charming architectural significance. The second floor was remodeled in the 1980s. The house was moved to its current location in the 1970s from a lower Swiss Avenue block after the original residence on the property burned.
