Like many events in 2020, Thrift Studio, a beloved annual pop-up shop, was moved from the spring to the fall. In just a few weeks, the charitable event will finally debut with a few modifications to ensure the safety of attendees.

Thrift Studio 2020 will be held at The International on Turtle Creek, a 14,000-square-foot showroom with ample space for social distancing. Local leaders in interior design will create vignettes with high-end home furnishings, décor, and art. All will be available to purchase at significantly reduced prices. The event’s proceeds benefit Dwell with Dignity, a local organization that provides free interior design services and furnishings to Dallasites transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Thrift Studio generates one-third of Dwell with Dignity’s annual operating revenue.

In lieu of a cocktail party, this year’s VIP Preview will be a daytime event. Attendees will choose a time slot between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on August 26 and 27 to visit the showroom. To get a ticket, click here.

Thrift Studio will be open to the public from August 28 to September 26. Entry is free, but the showroom will limit the occupancy to 35 shoppers at a time. Visitors will be asked to wear masks and gloves, practice social distancing, and use contactless payment methods.

This year’s featured designers are Cathy Kincaid Interiors, Jenkins Interiors, Madre Dallas, M Wilcox Design, Morgan Farrow Interiors, Pickering House Interiors, Twelve Twenty, and Lindley Arthur Interiors. Though we’ll have to wait a few weeks to see the finished vignettes, click through the gallery below for a preview of Thrift Studio 2020. We’re loving the gold and acrylic side table, punchy pink console, and beaded chandelier.
