The North Texas chapter of NAIOP recently presented its annual Office and Industrial Broker of the Year awards, and executive vice presidents from CBRE picked up both prizes.
Phil Puckett was named Office Broker of the Year, and Dave Anderson was named Industrial Broker of the Year.
Puckett has more than 25 years of experience in office tenant representation, closing more than 4.2 million square feet in deals for clients in Uptown and downtown Dallas, where he specializes. The majority of his clients have been law firms, including Winstead, Fulbright, Alston & Bird, Gardere, Vinson & Elkins, Jackson Walker, Andrews Kurth, Gibson Dunn, K&L Gates, Jackson Lewis, Fish & Richardson, and Perkins Coie. In 2013, he finished as the top production office broker within CBRE, with a volume of $120 million. Puckett has been involved as a volunteer in various civic and community organizations, including the Business Council for the Arts, Downtown Dallas Inc., and the Klyde Warren Park PID committee.
Anderson was CBRE’s top industrial broker in 2013. He completed 44 transactions, including land and building sales and more than 6 million square feet of industrial leases. It all added up to a volume of $240 million. During his career, he has has closed more than 800 deals, involving more than 65 million square feet of space and 8,000 acres of land. Anderson’s community and industry involvement includes work for Camp Jon Marc, the Jesuit School real estate board, and NTCAR.
NAIOP has been presenting its prestigious broker awards since 1998, said Pax Glenn, chairman of the program. Along with volume of deals, a five-member judging committee looks at each candidate’s professionalism, integrity, and local community involvement and support of the real estate industry.
Blair Oden, managing director with CBRE in Dallas, praised Puckett and Anderson, saying “their individual tenured success throughout many years speaks for itself.”
“We could not be more proud of them for this prestigious recognition and for their leadership within CBRE,” Oden said.
