The folks at Robert Allen know that sometimes, less is more. For the last 10 years, the to-the-trade fabric, trim, and furniture wholesaler has occupied two floors in the Dallas Design Center. But after clients repeatedly suggested they relocate their inventory to a single space, showroom manager James Campbell took heed. Now the 10,000-square-foot, first-floor showroom has been fully renovated to contain a memo-sample room as well as the 17 drapery-hardware collections, upholstery furniture, and 9,000 Robert Allen, Beacon Hill, and Scalamandre fabrics and trims they carry. The second-floor space will now play host to special events and sample sales but will not be open day-to-day. Though the showroom is currently open for business, the grand re-opening will take place on February 6.
