When was your first introduction to yoga?

I started with a few Iyengar classes at The Crow Collection of Asian Art almost three years ago, then decided I am going to learn to be patient.

What type of yoga do you teach? What made you choose this style?

I practice Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga because they are the most athletic yoga. I believe you need to have a strong and healthy body in order to have a clear mind.

What do you enjoy and gain from yoga?

A well defined flexible and strong body. No, I’m kidding. A quiet and still mind.

What advice would you give someone who has never tried yoga?

Find teachers who are good with alignment and basics, build a good foundation first. Don’t give up and have patience.

What advice would you give a well-practiced yogi that is looking to take their practice to the next level?

Find studios that suit you. Learn from teachers who inspire you. Practicing with yogis humbles you.

What makes VITAL different from other yoga studios?

It has the best amenities, from the rainfall showers to the ESPA products and complimentary valet.  I love the exposed brick walls too.

What is your favorite pose and why?

I love poses that challenge flexibility, strength and balance, currently it is Omkarasana (OM Pose). It’s symbolic.
